Land paddling has many names. Some call it SSUP, which stands for Street Stand Up Paddling. Whatever you call it, essentially it is just another way to gain speed on you r board while riding long distances. This helps target a wide range of muscle groups including the core, shoulders and forearms. Using a paddle will help give your legs and feet some time to rest by giving them a break from pushing or pumping.
Skateboard pumping is a technique that allows a skateboarder to accelerate without taking their feet off the board. Similar to the way a snake moves, propelling itself forward with forward with left to right swaying motions.
